| Weimar |
| Weimar is known for many things in history: Goethe and Schiller, the Weimar Republic and, to the disgrace of the city, Buchenwald... The monument of Buchenwald is visible from both Weimar and Erfurt, so that no one will forget the past. In the night there was a terrible thunderstorm, and all of a sudden the monument was dark. Perhaps the lightning struck it. We visited Weimar for one day only, and we were able to see motorcyclists driving around the statue of Goethe and Schiller in the centre at night. We really enjoyed Weimar and Thuringa. |
