Leipzig and Colditz

Leipzig is always a favourite, and we saw the traditional sights, the two churches Nikolaikirche and Thomaskirche, Auerbachs Keller, the Bach statue and a block of flats laid out in a circular form on the outskirts of Leipzig. The Promenaden Shopping Centre has a lot of things in store for you. They are open until 22.00 in the evenings.

The Colditz Castle was interesting to visit as it was a high risk security prison for allied P.O.W.s in World War II. We visited the muesum and saw the ingenious things the prisoners came up with in order to escape.
